CASL compliance help for businesses

When Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) came into force, it resulted in amendments to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal private sector privacy law which covers the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in the course of commercial activities.  These changes included the introduction of restrictions related to electronic address harvesting and collecting personal information by spyware.

On this page, you will find materials the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) has developed to help organizations ensure they comply with PIPEDA when they engage in email marketing.
