Commissioner to appear before Parliamentary committee to discuss annual report on privacy and study on social media platforms and foreign entities

Privacy Commissioner of Canada Philippe Dufresne will appear today before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics (ETHI) on two matters: his Office’s 2022-23 annual report; and the Committee’s study of the Use of Social Media Platforms for Data Harvesting and Unethical or Illicit Sharing of Personal Information with Foreign Entities.
