Tabling of the Privacy Commissioner’s annual report
The Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s latest annual report is expected to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at approximately 10 a.m. ET.
The report, titled Protecting and promoting privacy in a digital world, will be Philippe Dufresne’s second annual report as Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
The annual report highlights the work of his Office on key issues, including investigations, under both the Privacy Act, which applies to the public sector, and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, the federal private sector privacy law.
