Commissioners demand Alberta business immediately stop using their logos

The federal, Alberta and British Columbia Privacy Commissioners have sent a joint letter to a Calgary-based business demanding the company immediately stop using their corporate logos and registered trademarks.

The cease and desist letter to Servall Data Systems stated the logos must be removed from its Patronscan website as well as any related marketing material.

“Your use of the logos creates a misleading and false impression that some or all of your activities are approved by (the Commissioners’ offices) when they are not,” the letter states.

The company appears to have removed the three logos from its site.
