New videos to help Canadians and businesses protect privacy rights

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada has developed four new videos to help Canadians and businesses better understand and exercise their privacy rights.

For Canadians:

• Privacy settings – improve your understanding of how to protect your personal information when using digital devices, online services and apps
• Passwords – get an introduction to the fundamentals of creating strong passwords
• Accessing personal information – find out how you can make a request to access your personal information from an organization

For businesses:

• Meaningful consent – get an overview of the importance of obtaining meaningful consent from your customers to collect, use and disclose their personal information. Find out what your customers need to know about how you’re handling their personal information
