Commissioner shares his views on the “no-fly list”

Today, Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Daniel Therrien, appeared before the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights in relation to the study “Examine and monitor issues relating to human rights and, inter alia, to review the machinery of government dealing with Canada’s international and national human rights obligations: Passenger Protect Program.”

In his remarks, he addressed his concerns regarding the “no-fly list” and in the manner in which it safeguards the privacy rights of Canadians.
