Commissioner shares his views on Big Data, Privacy and Democracy

Today, Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Daniel Therrien, appeared before the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics before the International Grand Committee on Big Data, Privacy and Democracy.

In his remarks, he addressed the role of privacy in a democracy and makes recommendations for improving legal protection for citizens.
