Commissioner shares his views on privacy considerations related to the human rights of prisoners

Today, Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Daniel Therrien, appeared before the Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights to share his views on privacy considerations related to the human rights of prisoners in the correctional system.

In his remarks, he provided general comments about disclosures of prisoners’ medical or mental health information by Correctional Service Canada to the Parole Board of Canada.
