Commissioner shares his views on privacy considerations related to Bill C-49

Today, Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Daniel Therrien, appeared before the Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications to share his views on Bill C-49, an Act to amend the Canada Transportation Act and other Acts respecting transportation. In particular, the Commissioner raised various privacy considerations related to the proposed requirements mandating the installation of locomotive voice and video recorders in trains.
