New webpage helps people find out who to contact with concerns about the protection of personal health information

Canadians are extremely concerned about the privacy of their personal health information which can be highly sensitive. As health information falls into many categories, and may be collected, used and disclosed by a number of organizations and institutions for various purposes, it may be subject to different privacy laws across various jurisdictions.

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada has created a new web page to help you identify which privacy protection authority to contact with concerns regarding the handling of your personal health information.
