Privacy Commissioner seeks public input on privacy and online reputation

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s latest blog post lays out the perks and pitfalls of sharing personal information online in a bid to solicit your input into this important topic.

It follows a recently published discussion paper that sets out the problems and challenges related to online privacy. A public consultation period aimed at shedding light on the practical, technical, policy and legal solutions that could help reduce the reputational risks people face when they go online is now underway.

Everyday Internet users and subject experts alike are invited to share their ideas up until April 28th.
