Annual report on private-sector privacy issues expected to be tabled in Parliament

GATINEAU, Quebec — The Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s 2014 Annual Report on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is expected to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at approximately 10 a.m. ET.

The report entitled Privacy Protection: A Global Affair focuses on international cooperation initiatives with fellow data protection authorities around the world.

The report also examines other major privacy issues and recent activities of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Following the tabling, the annual report will be available online at www.priv.gc.ca.
