On September 3, 2014, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) announced that it had awarded funding to organize and host the 2015 Pathways to Privacy Research Symposium to The Centre for Law, Technology and Society (CLTS). The symposium was held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the University of Ottawa in Tabaret Hall. The theme of the CLTS event was “A Return to First Principles for Privacy at the Cutting-Edge” and explored the values that underlie privacy protection and examine how these values are furthered, and/or threatened, by technological and scientific developments.

Information about the event, presentations and videos from the event can be accessed on the CLTS web page created for the Pathways to Privacy Symposium 2015.
