On November 19, 2013, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) announced that it had awarded funding to organize and host the 2014 Pathways to Privacy Research Symposium to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA). The symposium was held in March 2014 at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. The theme of the CCLA event was “Helping Canadians Find Pathways to Privacy” and drew on recent research conducted under the OPC’s Contributions Program to provide a forum for academic researchers, civil society and public interest groups, and individuals to discuss privacy research results and their relevance for Canadians.

Information about the event, presentations and videos from the event can be accessed on the CCLA web page created for the Pathways to Privacy Symposium 2014.
