Summary

This project involves developing and broadcasting an audiovisual series to increase Canadians’ awareness and understanding of privacy in 2019. It attempts to simplify the issue and draw practical applications to maximize the impact of research funded by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, particularly on the economics of personal information, reputation and privacy and the body as information. It also aims to encourage the production and sharing of digital privacy content between radio/Web/television community media, their journalists and Web influencers in Canada.

A series of 19 video productions were produced, 14 of which were subtitled in English. In addition to these 19 video productions, CHOQ-FM created two series of 19 audio productions, one in English and one in French. The video productions were broadcast on the Web and on bilingual community television stations. Finally, a special participatory forum type show was broadcast in March at the end of the project.
