The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) is committed to continuous improvement and to promoting and demonstrating accountability, transparency and oversight in its operations. To support these efforts, the OPC conducts internal audits and program evaluations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its operations. The Office also has an Audit Committee that provides the Commissioner with objective advice and recommendations in the areas of risk management, control and governance, and it cooperates with other federal institutions that may audit the OPC in their role as external assurance providers.
